Both my daughters turned a year older in the last two weeks and I turn a year older in the next two weeks.
It is a good time to reflect on the past and imagine what the future will hold. There is a very good TED.com talk where Dan Gilbert “shares recent research on a phenomenon he calls the “end of history illusion,” where we somehow imagine that the person we are right now is the person we’ll be for the rest of time. Hint: that’s not the case. “
The reality is that we are transient beings and change every second and it is very unlikely we will be the same person we are today in ten years time.
